Blaze! Oh, Blaze! Where forth art thou, Blaze?!

So for those that don't know, Harlequin's Temptation line ended, and so their Blaze line is going from four a month to six a month. As someone aiming for the Blaze line, this was great news for me. So I'm doing what any writer does: reading my line.

BUT, Blaze is empty at my bookstore (this would be Walmart as my source without having to drive to a bigger town.) Nothing. No Blaze. All the slots were filled, and a huge amount was of Harlequin's Love Inspired line, way more than normal. So what's up with that?? I need my Blaze fix! So, to get my fix, I hit half.com. Those are coming, but does anyone have any idea why there weren't any when they restocked the books? I LOVE getting inexpensive books at half.com, but I DO NOT like paying shipping.

Blaze! Come back!!

I've seen them at Kmart and Target, too :)

I don't know why they wouldn't have stocked the Blazes. They sell like hotcakes.

I also don't like paying for shipping. I usually get Harlequins at Barnes & Nobles.

I don't have an answer for ya. I have a subscription where Harlequin sends me books every month. That way, I don't have to check my local stores.

Lynn, I may have to do that. Only thing is, I really like to read the blurbs and only get the ones that really get my attention. And our Walmart usually carries four different ones at one time. I have no idea why there weren't any this time. But like I said, a LOT of Love Inspired. Like the extreme opposite. ~shrug~

I may have to go to the next town and hit Waldenbooks. We don't have a B&N anywhere near here though :(

I need to start reading some of those as I had a book idea that might fit...

Unfortunately with my book club stuff for the magazine, I am reading a lot!

TJ - I read a ton, too. Sometimes to the point of getting nothing else done!

I'm reading Blaze for the same reason - I have a couple of books that I think will be good for the line. I started one, but now it's looking like it's going to be too big for a short contemporary. (sigh) We'll see.

Okay, we're STILL out of Blazes here. What is up with that?? I swear, if Walmart stops carrying them for some ungodly reason, I will be talking to the store manager personally. Grr.

Some of the larger stores like Wal-Mart decided to not do Blaze's b/c they weren't "family friendly" reading or some sh...tuff like that. That was the story that I heard a couple months ago anyway. Could be a joke but I don't know. I haven't seen any in the Wal-Marts here in Austin in a while.

My Walmart has ALWAYS sold them except this month. Now, this month marks the end of Temptation AND the beginning of NEXT, so I'm wondering if they pulled their most popular line for the month to let one go out with a bigger bang, and one come in with a bigger bang.

Hmmm.
