While blog-hopping for a bit this morning, I saw posted on Gina's blog this link to Blog Explosion. Not exactly sure what it all involves, but I'm checking it out.
Update: I can't figure it out - granted, I didn't take a lot of time to try either. I was hoping someone could give me a clue and what kind of benefit there is from this. I'm assuming if you have a lot of time to invest into the "system", it'd have some kind of pay-off. I can only see this as really a good thing if you have a paid site or something, right, where you make money based on hits or ads. Ideas?

Hey, Brenda! Thanks for dropping by my blog. Yours is great. I can totally see the dog threatening the cows, and I'm jealous. My dog can barely intimidate a squirrel.
Oh, and "I will eviscerate you in fiction" is one of my favorite quotes. Ever have to change the names in your stories to protect the guilty?
LOL Julie! ALL the time, actually! And sometimes I don't even do it very stealthily - if they read it, they'd absolutely know I was talking about them - and I LIKE it that way!
Ok. Cool. Check it out, and then explain the concept to me. I've looked at it and other "blog readership expanders" that offer points or credits. But I'm too dumb to figure out what the points or credits are good for. I eagerly await your unique perspective on this.
John
laughs - thanks, John! No pressure there!
Blogexplosion is basically a blog traffic exchange. You surf or use one of the other methods they have to earn credits, and then you use those credits to get people to your blog. I think any time you can get more people to your blog is good, not only for those with paid sites. As authors, we want people to see us and hopefully buy our books. Since a lot of authors promote and such on their blog, getting people there is always a good thing.
