Janet Evanovich is Satan

So I'm reading the Plum series, right? Well, if I know something's in a certain order, I want to read it in that order. Nice and simple. I got through #3, but I didn't have 4 & 5, so I stopped for several weeks.

Then came my birthday.

Shari, a servant of Satan disguised as a soft-spoken, kind angel, gets me 1st editions of FOUR TO SCORE and HIGH FIVE. I finished #4 at 2:30am on Wednesday morning. Started #5 at 11pm and finished it at 4:30am yesterday morning. Yes, straight through. Well, I had 6 on up, so with those two out of the way, I have free clearance for the rest of the series already. Last night, I picked up HOT SIX. Started at 11pm - finished at 3am.

Did I mention Janet Evanovich is Satan? I'm exhausted - way more so than normal. But man, she so does feed my addiction in a binder kind of way.

I can't believe you're coherent enough to type!

Well, here's my theory:

Zombies aren't really dead. They're people that got sucked into Evanovich books and had the sleep drained out of them, like dead people are drained of blood.

LOL, I'm like that sometimes when I find a new author I love.

lol. I so know that feeling. In fact I know it from a whole new point of view now as I married a biblioholic who is given to fits of reading all night and since I can't sleep with the light on I now know what it's like to go on an all night reading binge without the joy of reading the book.

I used to do that ... stay up all night reading books I just couldn't put down. Now I stay up all night listening to classical music and surfing the web.

Happy belated birthday! I haven't read Evanovich yet. Maybe I'll wait till I have lots of time on my hands...not sure when that will be...retirement? Gotta run...I got sucked into making my daughter's Halloween costume for a party tonight.

Oh, btw, I LOVE your website. It's very sexy...

Thanks, Karyn! I like it too. Major kudos to Dadio for designing it. He did it 100% then said: Whatcha think?

LOVED IT!

So this morning I went to bed again at 4:30am - finishing 7. Then, like the extreme moron I am, I picked up 8 to watch the sex scene with Ranger (FINALLY!) only to find that she didn't do it. RAH!

Whew...you're making me exhausted! Gimme some of that energy please! I just finished printing out 350 pages of manuscript to send to an agent who requested it a month ago and I'm plumb tuckered!

Now see, I never made it past the first quarter of the first book-and my girlfriend loaned me all of them.

What is wrong with me? Except that I'm nuts-I already knew that.

LOVE The site!

Briana - I thought the first two were "okay", but then I got sucked into the vortex and I haven't made my way out yet.

It's 6:30am. I was up til 3am finishing #8. (sigh)

The Plum series is my favorite! I just finished JE's new book Metro Girl, but don't like the new detective chick character as much as Stephanie.

Happy belated birthday!

There are three authors I stay up all night to read. JD Robb. Tess Gerritsen. Janet Evanovich.

The three sirens.

I own some of that series... been thinking of starting it too. When I have time.

Oh, I love those books. My girfriend and I take the day off and read them when they come out in the summer. I'm at the bookstore as soon as it opens buying our copies and she's making coffee and muffins. The kids aren't allowed to talk to us for the first 20 pages or so.

Good luck getting through the rest. I know it's hard to sleep when the books are that good.

I have just completed #11.

This sucks. No more Ranger.
